The ultimate solution for luminous flux and radiant power measurement of LEDs.
The GL OPTI SPHERE 1100 has been designed for the measurement of Luminous Flux and Radiant Power of LED Luminaries and big LED m odules as well as for other light sources compliant with the recommendation of the CIE Technical Committee published in Technical Report CIE 127:2007. The size of the sphere and the side-opening system help the easy installation of different light sources and additional adaptors and holders to measure all kinds of light sources. Conforming to CIE recommendations front emitting diodes can be measured at the wall entrance in 2π geometry. Other types of LEDs or other sources with wider emission should be measured at the center of the sphere in 4π geometry. The sphere is made of the composite material providing very high durability and low weight. The entrance of the sphere is equipped with a specially designed 150mm entrance aperture which can be used for the calibration purposes. It also allows the installation of additional accessories required by the specific measurements. In order to obtain high accuracy of the measurements the GL OPTI SPHERE 1100 has been e quipped w ith t he auxiliary light source for compensation of the self-absortion effect of the test LED.
Reliable measurement of light
Inner walls of the sphere are coated with barium sulfate (BaSO4) which ensures high reflectance properties up to 97%. All GL Optic spheres are universal and can be used with the GL SPECTIS 8.0 with fiber optics bundle or with the GL SPECTIS 1.0 with a proper adaptor installed directly on the sphere. The
GL Optic spheres are also available in 2 sizes:
– GLS 125 with 125mm diameter as a low-cost solution
– GLS 205 with 205mm diameter conforming to CIE standards for LE D measurement.
